Your area of responsibility

  • Analysis of MRP reports, processing of procurement transactions, and management of ordering and quotation processes to ensure material availability
  • Maintenance and management of relevant purchasing data such as lead times, prices, forecasts, inventory levels, and origin information
  • Optimization of inventory levels and ensuring an efficient supply of materials throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Participation in cross-functional procurement projects and negotiation of supplier contracts
  • Close collaboration with Engineering, Quality Management, Product Management, project teams, and Finance
  • Resolution of invoice discrepancies (GR/IR) in collaboration with Accounting
  • Identification of opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement
  • Supporting the development of strategic supplier programs and assessing potential supply chain risks
  • Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance using relevant KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost metrics, and quality metrics
  • Conducting regular supplier visits and assisting with supplier evaluations and supplier development initiatives

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training in business, technical fields, or business administration
  • A degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus
  • Additional qualifications in technical purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in technical purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • Experience in a manufacturing company is a plus—ideally in the metalworking sector or metal industry
  • Experience collaborating with international suppliers
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, ideally Odoo or similar
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational, planning, and negotiation skills
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Fluency in German and very good written and spoken English; completed commercial, technical, or business administration training
  • A degree in business, supply chain management, or a comparable field is a plus
  • Additional qualifications in technical purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in technical purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
